my fitness

I’ve never been a fitness buff. You’ll never see me waking up early to hit the gym (and on that note, it should be mentioned I’m not a morning person, either) and the idea of getting that “perfect” body has never appealed to me. I would say, as of now, I have an average build. Nothing too special or horrid, though with yoga I’ve been working on that. Besides, yoga is so much more than just trying to look good.

I’ve been doing yoga on and off since senior year of high school, mostly through DVDs or videos I could find online. Back then, my routine was usually ten minutes in the morning and ten minutes before going to bed every day. Now I do yoga about 2-5 times a week, depending on what’s going on. Yoga is so personalized that you can’t give a general time for how often you should be doing it and so forth, though I will say that more is usually better. Hatha yoga is by far my favorite style of yoga, though I’m open to trying just about anything.

Aside from yoga, I enjoy walking a lot. I’d much rather do something aerobic than lift weights. In the past, I’ve also done taekwondo and pilates. I’m not a big sports person, both playing and watching.
